Oakland Municipal Code - An online version of the Oakland Municipal codes which can be searched by keyword or viewed and printed code by code. Provided by Lexis/Nexis Municicpal Codes.

Oakland Rent Adjustment Board -
The Rent Adjustment Program enforces the Rent Adjustment Ordinance which prevents excessive residential rent increases. It also works to encourage open communication and to foster a climate of understanding between Oakland landlords and tenants by providing mediation services for cases involving rent increases and some evictions.

Pacific Legal Foundation - Nonprofit legal foundation in support of individual rights and reduced government intervention. The PLF website contains information on the cases the foundation is involved with, which include Individual Rights, Property Rights, and Environmental Law.

Rental Housing Association of Northern Alameda County
- RHANAC is the trade association that represents the mostly small rental housing providers in the six cities of Northern Alameda County.

San Francisco Rent Board - Official website of the Residential Rent Stabilization and Arbitration Board, which was created by the San Francisco Rent Ordinance (1979) created "in order to safeguard tenants from excessive rent increases and, at the same time, to assure landlords fair and adequate rents consistent with Federal Anti-Inflation Guidelines." The website features pdf copies of The Rent Ordinance, a 70-topic f.a.q. and minutes from Commission Meetings.

Supreme Court
- Official website of the Supreme Court of the United States. The Court agrees to hear only one percent of the approximately 8,000 cases that come up on appeal each year from the lower courts.
